Day 0 of the march, 11:25, 35 minutes before the march
The legions of tepror walk upon the drill yard, Gearing up and preparing for the long haul ahead. Some of the legionaries are scared because this is their first operation, and don't want to get themselves and their comrades killed. Some of them are excited, because they are getting more land for the same group that saved them from the orbiter. Some are indifferent from this operation, it was just another order from the general staff and the government
No matter why their opinion on the march, the fate for all of them was the same. They would march to the ocean and grant more land for the republic and her civilians, And no one would stop them for ay reason.
Day 1 of the march: 37%
The march has only recently begone, They have met little resistance from the natives. However there was still a sense of dread among the troops in the forest. They couldn't see more then 400 meters in front of them, and bombers where flying overhead carrying napalms. Between them and the plains team, They where in the most danger. But they still marched ever forward. Trying to stay vigilant of any dangers.
However the plains teams where fairing much better in terms of moral. They could see more then 20 miles ahead of them, They had access to the air forces gunships to provide air support. They however met the most resistance out of the two, They set off taps left and right, and lost 2 gunships. But in the battles, it was always a bloodbath for the natives.
Day 2: 67% done with the march
Things have been getting significantly harder for the teams. They have destroyed 3 native clans and more then 50% of the march was completed. But in light of this news, resistance from the natives has become stiffer and more desperate. Instead of hiding in the trees and attacking from a distance, they have begone attacking head first against our troops. Causing even more causalities among the ranks of tepror. But in a attempt to quell the dead rate of the legions, general staff along with the advice of a diplomat from Zÿlwahl has approved of the deployment of "extermination teams".
These teams are tasked with scouting ahead of the main force, finding enemy hide outs. Then destroying them with any devices available no matter what. Upon first testing of the extermination teams, results show that it was a great success for tepror, Engagement rates drop by 48% when deployed.
Day 3: 99% done with the march
The legions of tepror where tired from the march, and the resistance from the natives grew ten fold. The extermination teams where having a hard time hunting the natives, and air support had ended. So the ground forces where on their own, and yet they still march on. The bugwe natives kept attacking the forces with everything they had, Even pretending to surrender their forces, then springing out with forces bigger then the ones surrendering. The legions only had 57% of the fighting strength then what they had at the beginning of the march. But they keep marching to the sea.
Engagements with the natives had reached an all time high as it looked like there was no stop from the onslaught of natives. But the field officers told the legions to keep marching, under no circumstances should they stop advancing to the sea. So that's what they did, kept fighting through the enemy resistance until... its just stopped, The last wave of bugwe natives was killed off. Then over the horizon, a member of an extermination team was heard. "WATER! WE MADE IT!"
Upon hearing that all the legionaries ran to the forward and what they saw made they cheer. The clear blues of the gulf, no green could be seen for miles. The legionnaires ran in to the ocean screaming for joy, for them at least. The march was over and they have completed their orders.
