Following an ever-increasing need for fossil fuel to power the symbol of Khijovia's means of air transport, the elegant aethermotive, the government of the Khijovian federation has carried out a series of reforms to further encourage the development of the national mining industry. Particularly, the Grand Chancellor himself commissioned the notable nautical explorer Ahndo Scatevrio to lead an expedition to establish a vast network of coal-mining colonies in unclaimed lands; in early January 1601, in fact, the mighty colonizing naval fleet led by Scatevrio set sail from the port of Pletoria for the wild south-western Pelia.

The fleet - led by the Arcadia - consists of twenty-one ships and seven aethermotives of the voyager class, a new type suitable for long transcontinental flights. As I understand it, the purpose of this mission will be to colonize lands in southwestern Pelia for the search and extraction of carbon fuel.
