"Who are we?" The Empress stood up, and immediately the knights in by her throne knelt and saluted in her direction. The Empress smiled.
"We are the Kytang people of the Enlightened Kingdom of Kytangia, worshippers of the Great Serpent. Our goal as a nation, to reclaim our domain of Pelia, and thereforth all Sparkalia, from the degeneracy of heathenish faiths and to destroy the corrupt, foreign ideals of equality and progressivism." As per Kytangite tradition, the Empress would never introduce herself, leaving the job to her left-hand knight.
"Her Depths, Empress Roral II of the Enlightened Kingdom of Kitantis, may her reign be eternal", elaborated the servant knight in introduction, rather bluntly and ritualistically.
The Empress continued to speak, nodding toward the knight, seemingly in confirmation. Everyone continued to kneel. "You are the ones who entered the sovereign waters of Kytangia, we were simply defending ourselves from foreign biological invaders." Roral pointed her massive, jeweled staff towards the skimtari guests. "I have heard of Tepror, according to the ancient legends of our former oppressors, it is a sickly, smoggy, mythical land of the dead on the other side of the world." The Empress paused for a moment, sitting back in her throne seat, allowing for the knights to stand back up. She crossed her tail over her legs and leaned on the armrest of her throne, seemingly thinking. She slammed her staff on the ground, ordering a servant into the room. The servant swam in, kneeling and offering a bunch of what seemed to be large fruit to the Empress, who promptly ate them as she sat there, pondering what to say.
Finally, she spoke up again. "What business would the land of the dead have in our great Kingdom? We have never seeked out foreign biologicals, only slayed them. What would make you so bold as to approach my throne completely intentionally?" The Empress seemed irked yet curious.
