The Clöstbhen Military Solutions Co. often abbreviated as CMS Co., was a arms giant. A real arms giant. It had been operating for over 200 years, starting from the manufacturing of Muskets to the manufacturing of Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Light Tanks. It, along with the Tyreian Shipyards Union Ltd. had absolute monopoly over the arms market in Tyreis'.

It's innovation have been used world wide, and now that same prestige and effecincy had sparked interest in the Grand Duchy of Japuile, which had proposed a joint project for the creation of a special version of the Type 155mm Light Tanks, which were the main battle tanks of the Tyreian Army. It was obviously clear that it's fame was spreading world wide.

In the office of Company-Committee, talks where about to begin.

"Well, the deal would be profitable but it would be expensive and risky. Japuile is very far away. What do you think Mr. Chair ?" Said the Cheif Logistics Advisor.

The Company-Committee room was well light with a large kidney-bean shaped desk in the middle and multiple chairs surrounding it.

Adweid Clöstbhen was the current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMS Co. His family had founded the company and where one of the richest families in all of Karthia. As a family Plutarch, his career had been fairly successful.

He was closely listening to what his advisors had to say. The final decision would be of course his though. He took a look at the proposal then at his fountain pen.

"I believe we shouldn't hesitate in trying something new. It would be a great opportunity for us to expand our business outside of Tyreis. We have recently signed a contract with Sta'ir, I think we can handle this."

His advisors had a look on each other. All nodded in agreement.

"Good. Send the Japuile Government a reply."

Adweid sighs as he stamps the proposal, handing it over to his aide. The proposal bore the name, "PROJECT STEEL LION".

The Forge Responded

The Forge of Future Forces, General's Office, Unknown Location

The Forge of Forces of Future serves as a military base built around the idea of technology - present and future, that can be forged in these four corners of the base belonging to the young military formation of the Grand Duchy of Japuile - Grand Forces of Future - tasked with developing military technology as part of many initiatives, from Sons of the Forge to the first tank of the Grand Duchy of Japuile. However, a technical problem was encountered - the lack of an elevator to transport such heavy vehicles to the test field. Therefore, they turned to the General-Scientist of the Grand Forces of the Future, Alban Trottier, to solve this situation.

"General-Scientist Alban Trottier, we have a technical problem - we don't have an elevator to move heavy vehicles to the test field. Building such an elevator will take us several months and will be much more difficult than building a helipad for our helicopters. What should we do in this situation?" said the calm voice of the Project Adjutant of "Steel Tiger," who is dressed in the prototype armor of the Sons of the Forge.

General-Scientist Alban Trottier nodded to his Adjutant, then began to think about a solution. His desk is quite large, metallic, with a computer in the middle that slides out and he works on it using an intelligent stylus. The walls of his office are made of screens connected to the computer, allowing him to write on the screen, and what he writes will appear on a part of the wall he selected. He then looked up at the ceiling, where a screen displaying the entire planet with a political map is located, showing various information about different countries in real-time.

"I think I found a solution, Adjutant." General-Scientist Alban Trottier looked back at his Adjutant and smiled gently. "Get in touch with Clöstbhen Military Solutions Company and ask if they would be interested in a joint tank project. In the meantime, we have to come up with a way to transport tanks from the production base to the surface. Pass on everything they said to me."

"Yes, General-Scientist, Sir." nodded and left to contact the company mentioned by the Commander. After contacting them, he wrote a report related to the entire conversation, both by phone and online. General-Scientist gave the green light, and then the Grand Duke gave the green light, confirming the involvement of the Grand Ducal Government.

Meeting of Minds

On the scheduled day of the meeting between the Grand Forces of Future and Clöstbhen Military Solutions Co, one tested experimental aircraft type "Luna" - a medium-weight class aircraft designed for vertical takeoff and landing was displayed. It took off from an aircraft carrier that had transoceanic training exercises prepared. After about 15 minutes of flight, they landed at a specially designated location. The smooth, sky camouflage-colored surface was very...calm - suddenly the doors opened, and stairs extended from the inside, from which soldiers in small reinforced armor emerged, forming a cordon, with General-Scientist Alban Trottier coming out at the end.

"Welcome. My name is Alban Trottier, General-Scientist of the Grand Forces of Future. I am pleased to welcome you - I hope our meeting will be fruitful."

"Welcome ! I am George De Fernandes, Executive Director of the CMS. Pleased to meet you. Let me take you inside the committee office. Our CEO, Adweid Clöstbhen would be quite pleased to meet you for sure !"

George De Fernandes was a slim man. Blue eyes, and Black hair. Judging his appearance one could say that he was in his 30's or 40's although he was actually 58. He's voice was calm and he was flanked by 2 bodyguards.

The office itself was beautiful, with artwork and multiple awards and plaques on display. There were lift and stairs leading to the upper levels and a reception to the right of the main door. The room had plenty of light and indoor plants. There were a few people in the waiting room adjacent to the reception. The committee was upstairs.

Slow pace of heavyweights

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Executive Director of the CMS George De Fernandes. Please, lead us - soldiers, take a rest. Secure your weapons."
General-Scientist Alban Trottier issued an order to his soldiers - they loosened the security cordon around the General, allowing him to walk ahead. Their heavy, metallic steps drew the attention of everyone around - the steps fell in harmony. In their hands, they held large-caliber assault rifles (15 mm).

The General-Scientist looked around, curious about the architectural style of friends from across the ocean. He was neither positively nor negatively surprised, appreciating the green elements and awards that could be indicative of the company's success. He nodded at the reception, before it came to a choice - elevator or stairs.

"Mr. George De Fernandes, I think we will take the stairs - I wouldn't want to cause any issues with my weight. We'll meet at the top."

The General-Scientist issued the order with his hand, and everyone began to climb the stairs, or rather jump over them - they have a wider step than regular soldiers, so they climb up fairly quickly. Their voices could be heard throughout the stairwell, and even in some corridors leading to the said stairwell.

"Sure thing." Replied George, leading them through the stairs.

The loud noises caught the attention of everyone inside the building. As the group reached the meeting room, they were greeted by the CEO, Adweid Clöstbhen.

"Greetings Good Ser, General Scientist Ablan Trottier. I've arranged for a patent and government permit already for our project. We can begin discussing the details."

General-Scientist Alban Trottier ordered his guard outside not to cause unnecessary tension at the business meeting. Upon entering, he looked around with a slow gaze - as if analyzing with his mind, then sat on a specially adapted chair for his condition.

"Good day, CEO Adweid Clöstbhen. It is an honor to speak with another bright mind in military engineering - I can assure you that the Grand Duchy of Japuile is also very intrested in agreement. Grand Duke Casamir I of the House of Episcopo said he has faith in armored forces, so he requested to begin with a whole tank division - 250 tanks, around which we will create our own armored vehicles."

"We will get to work, yes indeedy. First, we need to do the grade selection and some other tests on a virtual model and then some final modifications." He replied as a company official laid out multiple tank plans.

"We must first decide what type of tank we want. A medium tank? An amphibious tank or a light tank ? We must also select the magic grade and material for construction. Composite is the best option as you know but we will get through it. If you have any ideas then please feel free to share them !"

"I'm satisfied with the ethusiasm - visual impressions are more stimulating than empty technical words. Please give me some time to prepare the presentation."

General-Scientist Alban Trottier opens his gloves, revealing a screen. After a few clicks, lasers shot out of the glove, creating a three-dimensional image of the Future Army tank prototype. The hologram is clear and colorful. The hologram floats above the table, allowing detailed viewing of small parts.

"Length 6.5 meters, width 3.5 meters, height 2.5 meters, theoretical weight 27 tons. Equipped with a hybrid engine with an additional power system - bio-electric - 750 horsepower. Theoretical range will be 515 km. Hydraulic suspension. The main weapon - gun is a 120 mm smoothbore, the secondary weapon is a 12 mm RWS heavy machine gun. The next section is armor - you can see all the stats. The tank's specialties will be ballistic computers and laser rangefinders. I leave to your experts the materials that make up the tank of the “Steel Lion” project."

Alban Trottier also has a USB containing theoretical documents about tanks - after all, these are the Army of the Future, they need to have technical plans ready. He handed it over to the representative of the Clöstbhen Military Solutions Co.

"A thing of concern." Intervened the Chief Armored Vehicle Specialist.

"It's a medium tank. With the 750 horsepower engine, it will only be able to generate a speed of around 50-60 km/hr."

"Well, that's not much of a concern I believe. It's a medium tank as our Japuilean friends propose here. Now, I believe it would be wise to use 3rd generation composite armor." He said, handing a few documents to the General-Scientist.

"Now. Moving on to the specialty of the CMS, Magic. We must come up with a balanced Grefuse Grade to be utilized." As he said so, a projection was started by the other officials demonstrating the capabilities of magic-infused weaponry.

General-Scientist Alban Trottier read the document he received from the representative and nodded. Obviously the terminology is a little different, next he was clicking on something on his little wrist computer.

"In this case, we want to increase the power to 800 horsepower. I agree with the choice of armor based on the documents - and now please introduce me to your 'Grefuse Grade' technology, because I don't have time to chit-chat. Technology and business always have one thing in common: time is money."
