The Japuliean Embassy
Lady Dominique Paquin has been appointed to the ambassadorial service. Until recently, she was a writer and editor for the Red Rose Society. She accepted this opportunity with enthusiasm, seeing it as a chance to promote her writing and, in the future, even bring her colleagues to another country if everything goes well.
She underwent several trainings, including confidence and fitness, as well as familiarization with the Crown Royal language and culture. The strangest part for Paquin was the yoga and gym sessions, as she needed to present herself well physically. She didn't understand why until she arrived at Commons Parliament and saw what typical Crown Royal citizens looked like.
"I thank the citizens of Crown Royal for welcoming me to your beautiful lands and seas! I hope for fruitful cooperation between our governments, so that the history being written now in golden letters can be read with pride by future generations!"
Lady Dominique Paquin had the opportunity for a short speech and decided to take advantage of it, before her secretary reminded her that they would soon be late for the embassy opening. Therefore, the Ambassador of Japuile quickly concluded her speech, though with respect to all deputies.
"Thank you very much for the warm introduction to my residence-embassy, Regent Heisse Korolya. It was a real pleasure. Regarding the gift, it's really unnecessary. However, I have a request - would you like to read my novel? I am an aspiring sci-fi writer, and this is my first story, 'Star Journey: Beginning of Empire'. It tells the tale of the young Sparkla Federation, which becomes a cosmic empire, and our crew is sent to explore worlds and races. The data collected is meant to guide the development of the Sparkla Empire."
Great minds think alike.
Lady Dominique Paquin had to settle into the embassy. She greatly appreciated the architecture inspired by her home, but she had to rearrange several rooms and add a library to her office so she could read her favorite books during the less intense parts of the day. Phone calls, scheduling meetings, planning her day to find a few hours for herself and her writing, all became part of her new life. She also did not forget about staying fit, regularly attending the local gym and yoga classes.
She received an order to show initiative as an ambassador, whether cultural, social, or political. So, she decided to propose to her counterpart in the Crown Royal government and the regent the establishment of visa-free travel and student exchange programs. After two hours, she had the similar version of her proposal on her desk. Looks like the Crown Royal website had this good idea too.
Both women who were supposed to talk about this proposal met at the same gym, so they decided to speak the entire bill during gymning. Lady Dominique Paquin decided to send the agreed document for consideration by the Grand Duchy's government, while on the Crown Royal side, the law went through its own review process.
