Once they are done gathering their belongings and disabling/handing over weapons the MPs then quickly escort you off the military airport and hand you a communication device and an envelope.
"Don't lose these, that box is what we call a phone, we will contact you if we can get you out of here, and that envelope is filled with cash to last you a week. Don't spend it all in a casino, we won't reimburse you. that's all you get. Now if you will excuse me, good day."
The MP's go quickly clear out the people gawking at you, as technically they were soliciting near Military property, and just like that you are left alone, to fend for yourself in Port Hermes. But at least you arent being gawked at anymore.
In the Governers mansion, thankfully they are actually getting in contact with the Embassy pretty quickly. They send over the documents, and the governors immediately go back to not caring about their plight.
