Today was the day of the annual Delegates Dinner, one of the biggest events in Herwa. Hosted by the Prime Director himself, it was also host to almost all of the Regional leaders, and those who actually got in and past the vetting process were free to mingle with those important people. But not everyone was as go happy and relaxed as they should be, One Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs anxiously paces on the docks of New Rienik, constantly checking his watch and radioing to Dock Control about any ships in the area.

His aide and driver just watches from the side. "Um, sir, are you ok? I mean they probably just had to divert routes, we still have 10 hours before the Dinner." He stops and looks directly at his aide and just walks up and grab his shoulder. "YOU don't understand Jeremy, if they don't arrive, like I told jarot, He will have my head, get it MY HEAD!" His driver almost immediately scoffs when he hears Jarots name. "do you really think he'll get pissed that your guests didn't come? He's literally Herwas biggest procrastinator, he probably doesn't even remember you had delegates coming in, probably just racing water droplets again."

Though this doesn't calm his nerves down, he just lets go and keeps pacing. "Well I for one am not taking chances, this is my first time actually doing something big, and the Prime Director is in attendance, and gave ME an invitation, do you know how COOL he is? If I'm doing my job I'll be- THERE'S THE SHIP" He points off to the horizon, and yep, there's a luxury yacht on its way to the port.

Nobel

The yacht quietly flowed into the port, having come straight from Auredia. The diplomats watched the city in the distance, one of them swishing around their Auredian wine that was, well, sub-par at best. Ales Krasia, the Head Diplomat quietly spoke, pushing his hair back into a ponytail. "Fuckin' finally. Jeez, we went all around Southern Pelia just to get here..." He stared down at his glass, before setting it on a nearby dining table. "Remember, when we get onto land, you three need to put on your best smiles, shake hands, and do everything in your ability to make our future friends think we're enjoying tonight. I swear.." He fixed his suit, brushing the front. "...I'd rather have stayed in Auredia, but since I need to supervise you all after the disaster that was the Tepror visit, I've been forced to come along. You all better be real thankful that Tepror agreed to our deals." He huffed, before turning back to the ocean.
Auredia was a long distance from them, now. For a semi-landlocked nation, the big sea was a whole new experience.

Ten more minutes passed before they docked in port. The Auredian 'Grande Viskare', carrying the diplomats and a few wealthy guests who were not affiliated with the diplomats. After a short wait, the passengers began to disembark, and the Auredian diplomats followed not too long after. The four of them (the head diplomat and his three other diplomats) gathered by the side of the dock, one of them lighting a cigar as they took a quick puff. Ales turned to them. "Really? You couldn't do this on the ship?!" The diplomat glared at him, responding after puffing in his face. "They don't let us smoke on the ship. I don't want to hear this." Ales huffed, turning and looking around. Looking for the diplomats who were supposed to meet them. "Perhaps we landed at the wrong port?" He turned to his group of diplomats, who shrugged. "...You all are no help whatsoever."

The deputy and his aid quickly approach the diplomats and shakes each of their hands. "Hello hello, Never fear you have indeed made it to the right port. I know its humble and small, but New Reink isn't a port town its a tourist town, so pardon the less than grand port." He approaches and indivigually shakes each of their hands, then promptly stands there awkwardly.

"Oh goodness, apologies, Im Deputy Director Maverik of The Department of Foreign Affairs Preceding Director Jarot who is currently... probably procrastinating in his office watching some water droplets fall from his office. On behalf of the department And Federal Command I apologize for his lack of greeting you, but I am basically the same as him, and Welcome to New Reink!"

He nods at his driver, who promptly rushes off to God knows where, then returns with an Armored limousine, and 4 guards with suits and vests step out and hold the door open for everyone. "Well honored Delegates and guests, let us attend the Delegates dinner!" He gestures for them to enter first

Nobel

The diplomats turned to the deputy with smiles, the one who was smoking quickly tossed their cigar into the port before looking over to them and nodding. Ales stepped forward. Moving his hand out to give them a handshake. "Good evening. We are here on behalf of the Republic of Auredia." He motioned to himself with his hand. "I'm Head Diplomat Ales Krasia. These wonderful men and women is the rest of my diplomatic team." He stepped to the side and motioned to the others, who all bowed their head. He turned back to the deputy with a grin. "Do not apologize! I'm only here because of a small diplomatic incident regarding some foreign delegations back home at Auredia. Now, let us head to this dinner." He shot a quick glance to his three other companions, who all nodded and entered the car one-by-one, with Ales getting in last.

With them all settled in their seats, the quiet mumbles in Auredian began.
One of the diplomats, the one who was smoking a cigar, muttered over to Ales. Speaking in Veskaran (oocly, check the Lir Vestra Doman thing for reasoning as to why its not typed in veskaran)
"Well, Herwa does share some similarities to Auredia. I can't tell if they're just diplomatically incompetent, or if they're as good at putting on a show as some of our best playwrights." Ales quickly turned to him, smacking him on the arm. "Shut up! They can't speak Veskaran, but that doesn't give you the right to disrespect them." He glared over, before turning to the window. Watching the port as the drive began.

The drive is smooth and unsmooth at the same time, while there was zero bumps and the rise was as smooth as butter, the sheer weight of the car could be felt as every time a bridge was crossed, some of the diplomats could have sworn that the bridge was creaking under the weight. "So, as I understand it, your first time in Herwa, welcome!." He suddenly says from opposite of the car, breaking the silence. "I must say after the dinner you should take a tour of Herwa, each of the regions unique in its own right. Ascus actually was the home of a major religion in eastern regions, I would tell you but I'm from the Herwan Region so not too familiar with their religion so I cant really speak for them." He gives a weak chuckle as FINALLY they make it to the Blue Rose Palace.

"Whoop, were here!" He opens the door and leads them to to the building, a gargantuan building with many different sprawling gardens of blue flowers, the building itself has a constant blue glow spite the sun still in the sky. "Its said that this was build in the wake of the First founder when he founded Ascus and their religion. He really liked blue but Ascus likes red, shame he didn't build it in Herwa, we LOVE blue overthere." They head to a secret entrance in the back of the palace, there stands an entire battalion of heavily armed military police units and a mobile command center.

"Hey John, they are here on diplomatic business, can we fit them on the upper tables?" The security director groans as he checks his list, and very heavily sizes up the diplomats. "Considering we don't know the location of Jarrot you can take his table next to the podium and the Prime Directors table." He perks up when he hears this and gestures for them to follow, but before he can take a half step, the Security director grabs him. "I want to make this perfectly clear, I'm running a tight ship here, if they step out of line I'm danming the 'Diplomatic Immunity' you love flaunting for your guests. Am I understood?"

Maverik gulped and nodded, "Rodger, no tricks, they are diplomats representing a foreign nation and thus will act in a manner befitting a representative of a foreign entity... Right?" They both look at the diplomats with Maverik mouthing 'JUST SAY YES PLEASE"

Nobel

Stepping out of the car, the diplomats stood outside of the car and stared up at the building, one of them laughing quietly. "Reminds me of home, almost." Ales looked over, shaking his head. "No. Serrathis looks way different. We don't have glowing buildings." The diplomats looked over. "Oh, and to answer your earlier question. A tour would be nice, we aren't exactly on a timer to return. They just expect us back within the month. Any longer, and well..." He looked to his diplomats. "...Iskarra will not be happy!" He nervously laughed, but despite his laughter, it was true. The first time Auredia ever sent its diplomats anywhere. Any bad events would definitely show Auredia that the world may not like them.

They entered the palace with the, glancing around as they did so. One of the diplomats whispering something in Veskaran upon seeing the guards. Something along the lines of 'fish in a barrel'. Ales glared at the diplomat, before looking over to the Security Director. He quickly nodded. "Rest assured, I'm here to make sure our first visit from our home area doesn't go to shit. You needn't worry about us, sir." He clasped his hands together. "My diplomats are on a tight leash. We are no strangers to diplomacy. Now, we will be on our way, if that's okay with you, sir?" He turned to Maverik. "Lead us on, good sir." He turned around to make sure his diplomats were still with him, which they were, now suddenly looking a bit more tense. Herwa was leagues more different than some of the city-states they had to visit a few years ago.

John sighs as he drops Maverick and steps away from the security door. "Go straight down, enter through the fire exit. We disable the alarm so security forces can maintain access through multiple ways and apparently for you." Maverick and the diplomats file through the door, past Johns everlasting glare, specifically at maverick.

"Don't mind him, he's a joy to be around, great war stories. Just a big rough around the edges... Especially after my third suspension from the Security Services. Didn't end well, but hey I'm not in the Security Services anymore am I? Technically I outrank him... he's still really scary thou-HERE WE ARE!" He swings the door open and a magnificent ball room is revealed, the soft blue glow entering the room through the walls, the guests who arrived really early mingling amongst themselves in outfits ranging from needlessly modest to extraordinary over the top. "Welcome to the dinner, our table is actually right next to the podium and window. So feel free to mingle and have fun, and if anyone's being a little too friendly, assume they are security and match their friendlyness."
