Discontentment. Corruption. Cruelty.

For years, since their rule first began a decade ago, the RUP government of Veskarei marked a dangerous period of Veskaran history. Yet, the odds seem stacked against them this year. The elections are progressing, and everyday, it seems as if they'll lose it this year.

Calls leave Veskarei in the hundreds, letters in the thousands. A bribe is given to the guard at a port, and a man steps off the boat. Perhaps some exiles can return in this time of turmoil. Meetings in bars grow, hushed conversations in the corners of restaurants, some tourists who bring heavier bags and suitcases.

Armored cars patrol the streets of Domare, and hastily opened polling stations that the RUP know will only slow down the electoral process is what they're guarding. In spite of this, many Domaris have opted to vote in Veskarei proper, instead of Domare, much to the happiness of the RUP who can effectively call for a recount in the Domare Voting Region and neighboring regions.

Already, rumors of VS fraud have begun to spread. The VS defend their votes, saying that the RUP just cannot understand why people hate them. They also say that the accusations of fraud are 'rich coming from the party everyone knows committed election fraud in 1609'. Elesera Tanet has denounced Dove Indule for being a 'traitor', while miss Dove has stated that 'we all should be careful with throwing around accusations and insults like rocks'.

The immortal's round face never budged; an extra he never sprung for, though he did upgrade his eyes into a pair of deep red, shining rubies. His towering form is a mix of rough chunks of dark stone with white streaky inclusions, forming limbs, and an odd flowing clay at the joints. Yud, the Strong's steps thunder about Iskarra as he decides his votes, full authority vested in him by his state.

His entourage did all of the heavy lifting, of course, finding party representatives and setting up meetings. His personal assistant carried a stool at all times to reach his towering ear; he used it to tell Yud about his imminent meeting with the RUP; others soon to follow in a hectic schedule. His aura radiated a subtle joy, one not present when his votes were announced for the VS in the first round.

Lost in Translation: Ikobite Reps Accidentally Elect Liberals… Or Do They?

Bribed by Herwan state, Ikobite officials was swayed to vote for the Liberals. However, they could not find which party is a Liberal!

In an interview of the Representative for the Four Sacred Paths in the informal session's break, Tz. Bal has reportedly said "This is why the constitution has banned such confusing party names! Now we can't vote for the Goddamn Liberals!"

When asked about the alleged corruption, Bal has replied "Herwa is our brethren at arms. We must not question such things," raising up taz index finger up taz mouth.

Fi. Tirap, Rep. of District 12, has interrupted the live broadcast and the informal session to inform other representatives that, quote, "Verozak blah blah says 'Liberal' in their description. We must vote them!"

Thus, all representatives in the House of Representatives has unanimously voted for Verozak Szöveta. Prime Minister of the House of Representatives has passed the motion for giving all votes to said party.

In an interview after the hasty meeting, Na. Libat has said "This is what the Fi. President would have wanted," and left no other comments before heading out to the muddy roads of our corrupted country.

Stagnation.

The people of Veskarei have been convinced that this election is the one to decide their fate. Because of this, many Veskarans have been polarized. You're either a Liberal, or not a Liberal. The city-folk of the capital and coastlines have always voted in favor of the VS, but in the Aurede Voting Region, the accusations surrounding the VS have led them to suffer a defeat for the meantime. The RUP have managed to secure the region for the time being, and the south has voted almost wholly in favor of the IDY, which has surprised many within the nation.

The SRP have unseated the DARH party in the Domarei Voting Region. With the DARH falling behind in recent polls, the clear tendency towards monarchy in the north has given way to a more Veskaran option. The SRP, the child of a neo-monarchist wave, which was never seriously considered until recent times. They have nothing stacked against them, but the fact that most in the south never heard of them, or at the very least, would rather vote a more democratic party leaves the SRP in a precarious spot. Victory is possible for the SRP, but the cards are not in their favor.

Revolutionaries belonging to the BVP have begun rallying in bars and small towns. Unhappy with the situation revolving around their popularity, they've begun to arm themselves, an activity easy to do in the half-integrated Domarei region. The RUP candidate, and still current Hejman, Elesera Tanet has said that starting a revolution against Veskarei and all that it stands for will be the end of democracy as we know it.

As long as corruption continues to grow, so too will the likelihood of hitting the point of no return.

Infamous Veskaran Critic, Alen Bortos, in his book "The Downfall of Nations". Shortly after publishing, he tragically perished in a helicopter accident.

On the last day of voting, Bata Hunyada, current President of the GKS party, invited his biggest Veskaran supporters to a dinner party at his farm. All was well throughout the day and the hours leading up to the event, and a few of the notable farmers from the surrounding countryside were even invited too. The event began just as the sun went down, and shortly after the event began, Bata began to speak.

"My friends, my comrades. It is clear to me that we have not won this election. But, just because we didn't win, doesn't mean we didn't make an impact. Our allies at the VS have been meeting with me, and we have agreed on a deal once they inevitably when this election. Now, my friends. We've made our mark on the politics of Veskarei, so here's a toast to the next election! For liberty, for the GKS!" Cheers raged out from the crowds, but so too did an explosion. Instantly, the entire farmhouse was engulfed in a terrifying flame. News crews and onlookers who set up camp outside the farm to take pictures watched in horror as the President of the GKS was killed in his own home.

Shortly after the explosion, gunfire rang out in the crowd. Targeting news broadcasters and security personnel. These gunmen detonated suicide explosives before they could be captured, yet before they did, they shouted out to any who could still hear them; "Sebed az erutol!" ("Freedom from traitors!")

Thirty minutes after the incident, at 7:48 P.M. Hejman Elesera Tanet denounced this horrible act, stating in an emergency press conference that this "was the most despicable act Veskarei has ever seen in recent years." RUP-controlled press states that she was seen crying shortly after stepping off the stage.

VS President Dove Indule also stated 40 minutes after the incident, at 7:58 P.M, that the perpetrators behind the attack will "be swiftly caught and dealt with. An attack on one Veskaran is an attack on all Veskarans."

BVP President Majdek Borokolov stated that he suspects an extremist faction within his party was behind the attack. "The GKS were our friends." he stated, following up with "they were our brothers, united with a common objective for Veskarei. Socialism." Elesera Tanet blames the BVP solely for the attack, while the VS and other parties have remained utterly silent after this event.
