This post is mainly for internal stuff within Santi Rasta’s borders and maritime borders. General stuff that the news won’t cover and perhaps day-to-day life of certain people. Or perhaps the related to either normal lives, political lives, or life in the underworld which I will be doing now. 😈

Rise of the Underground World

[ A Whole New World! ]

It is no secret that Santi Rasta is a developing but poor nation. And is currently in the transition from a bartering system to Ration Tickets and now to forming a new currency. Though this currency that is being introduced known as the Santinese Rupee isn’t very trusted and therefore switch to trading foreign currencies such as Ponugur, Sola, or other currencies that are more well established.

Though getting money is hard to come by. No one could really rise the social ranks within a nation that has little to no money circulating. Though one thing that people can do to make a huge profit for a high risk, from the trade of illicit items to Shark loans and other businesses considered illegal or immoral.

Though a few small groups of people travel deep into the South of Santi Rasta. . . The great thing about Santi Rasta for these rising criminals is that the land is mostly Tropical Rainforest that makes it easy to hide from the government and other unwanted eyes, as well as hiding their operations.

To rise in Santi Rasta, one has to take a leap of faith and hope they don’t get blinded by lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride.

Rise of the Underground World

[ The Jungle Economy ]

Men and women spread out from the building cities to the rural parts of Santi Rasta, some wanting to live a life not dependent on the community or the state, others wanting to venture out to find new wildlife in the jungles, others to exploit it.

Santi Rasta was one of the very few diverse tropical lands in Sparkalia, unfortunate enough to be colonized by interstellar refugees, not of this planet. The foul souls that inhabit Santi Rasta and worship Gods & Goddesses that are not of this planet, nor look beautiful, polluting such natural beauties.

Though they did not care about what others thought. Even though the state wanted to promote equality for all. A state that couldn't feed all its inhabitants nor aid its inhabitants is not a nation of equal opportunity or equality.

Though it didn't matter, they would get rich off the backs of foreigners and the addiction of others through Santi Rasta's deregulated economy and how illegal drugs are in other parts of the world.

Sahira Basak: "This land looks good for our operations," she says, coming to somewhat of an opening in the jungle with sparse trees and other things alike, possibly ravaged by a recent forest fire, which makes good for agriculture in the jungle.

Sarika Satyavolu "Yeah, we can set the plantation up here, though where will the magic take place? Think around the jungles will give us good cover from the authorities and all?"

Sahira Basak: "Perhaps we can. . . Though I was thinking making it as a bunker."

Sarika Satyavolu: "Underground?"

Sahira Basak: "Yeah, won't be opened up, good cover, and all,"

Sarika Satyavolu: "Don't think that would work, especially with this sort of dirt, too hard, sure, there are trees around that are going to hold it up, though it is going to take a lot of manpower to do that, maybe we can dig it down a bit, cover the factory site with a tent and set up the chemicals and equipment in there,"

Sahira Basak: "Yeah, who is gonna be supplying you with the equipment and chemicals?"

Sarika Satyavolu: "Contacts from Ksitija will handle that, I got others also there and Sneha who is willing to ship it out for a fee of course,"

Sahira Basak: "You took a loan or something? Where you got these contacts from and money to buy the equipment."

Sarika Satyavolu: "That you do not have to worry about boss, especially when we will be rolling with cha-ching very soon,"

Sahira Basak: "And if we do not?"

Sarika Satyavolu: "Leeeeet's not focus on that so much, after all we are here to make money in this nation that can't even feed its own citizens, while rich, middle, and even lower class natives of this planet are swimming in welfare and wealth to the point where they can ride their dreams in a utopian society, here we are, as refugees, slogging away doing the dirty work for a Fliboza Bits an hour while people can get a paycheck from the government picking up a bottle from the sidewalk and calling it a job well done," she says.

Sahira Basak: "Yeah, not our fault, we were born out in the galaxy to slave away for capitalist pigs, and here is the same thing, only now we are wage slaves,"

Sarika Satyavolu: "Eeeexactly my Bahini, Santi Rasta is just a hollow nation that is empty inside, though it is a space where dreams can come true, from the red districts in Sneha to the entertainment areas of Mukti, along with the Cinemas and production sites in Suryodaya and Suryasta being set up by the Japuilean's, ain't no place to get filthy rich than here! You either live a quiet life and die at age 50 smelling of urine and garbage and having no name at the end of the day to the state and other corporations, or you go down in blazing glory sipping a martini with the 1% of Sparkalia and get 2 bullets to the brain. So which life Miss Basak? I got the contacts to distribute them and the contacts to give us supplies and equipment. All I need is that charismatic part of you and your own contacts to hire mercs and employees of our newfound cartel corporation."

Sahira Basak: "Give me the telephone, and I'll have this place growing all the narcotics in the world in no time,"

Sarika Satyavolu: "Ha! That is the spirit!"

[ Current Situation ]

Santi Rasta, is all but not a paradise to live in. Several issues have plagued Santi Rasta as a newly founded nation and its democratic system.

[ Political Climate ]

Currently there is the Clique of Progress and the Clique of Tigers, though there has been a split within the Clique of Tigers after the meeting between Santi Rasta & Choslow.

Clique of Progress still abiding to the principles of Soft to Moderate Socialism in emphasis in scientific reasoning and all.

Clique of Lotus is a splinter group of the Clique of Tigers, still socialist though take a more different approach with a twist of religion and socialism. Praising Gaiania & Galacalica.

Lastly the Clique of Dragons, another splinter group of the Clique of Tigers and are heavily influenced by them, though with the change they see foreigners as a threat to the unity of the nation and believe that there is a divide between Us & Them. They feed on Nationalism and other ideals.

[ Welfare ]

Currently Santi Rasta experiences an ongoing poverty crisis with the majority of the population being in poverty. Due to this there is a heavy reliance on food banks. Not only this but with people spreading out and living reclusive either as farmers or other occupations, they face a growing divide between those near the crash landed ships that have access to technology vs. those that don’t have that access.

Homelessness has also been an issue as we cannot make 5.6 million residential units in one day and so many are forced to live aboard the ship that has cyropods or sleep in the hallways or cafeteria.

While healthcare and all is great in Santi Rasta, diseases native to these lands we settle in are still finding their ways to infect, spread and get our immune systems on overdrive to try and sweep them out. We must try and resolve this issue

Urban Decay has also been a growing problem as well, slums have began to form all across Santi Rasta in major populated areas. Giving criminals, drug lords, and criminal syndicates a place to thrive in.

[ Economy ]

Currently the Suryodaya Times has a monopoly on the media, while this is good in hindsight, we must make sure that they are kept in check so as they don’t sprout out conservative nor nationalistic values.

There has also been an ongoing food crisis in the nation, while food is plentiful, money isn’t, and the GDP and inflation doesn’t help this crisis.

We are currently also trying to develop technologies, while we have access to some high tech technologies, our nation isn’t as advanced per say like other colonists nations in Sparkalia.

Skill shortages have also become an issue, simply to put it that we are a batch of enslaved genetically modified people that were made to fill gaps within another galactic empires economy. We may have a diverse range of skills though we lack manpower to fulfill different areas.

Neo-Religions have also become a problem, the formation of Gaiania & Galacalica. While major sects may be harmless, other sects such as the Galacian Guardianship, a minor sect within Galacalica. Has rather unorthodox practices, such as sentient sacrifices, blood drinking, and other practices we will not be getting into detail within this Report.

[ Public Services ]

Entertainment has mainly consisted of clubs, Red Districs, gambling, narcotics, alcohol, and other harmful or risky entertainments. Crossbordeo Mecene, a Japuile art and cinematography corporation will help us eventually diversify the entertainment scene in the coming times.

Drug Addiction has been aided by the anxiety of people living in Santi Rasta, these poor living conditions have gotten people using their money to buy hard drugs to escape reality or feel better. Fueling crime rates and deteriorating the health of the people. While many drugs have been legalized they have only been legalized medically and soft drugs recreationally. Though a lot of it is unregulated due to poor police funding and low manpower in the police and armed forces.

Hospitals within the ships have experienced overcrowding on a weekly basis, due to drug addiction, diseases, and other problems within the health of the people.

Teacher Shortages have became a problem due to skill labor shortages, we need to train more people to become teachers in order to teach our younger generation; hire from abroad; or send students abroad.

[ Law & Order ]

Ghettos are a common sight nowadays, while de jure we are a nation of diverse racial groups that are united by a common background. In practice in times of desperate need we seek to those who are similar to us phenotypically.

Extreme Nationalism has also been a growing issue, seeing foreigners dressed fancy and neat along with how Santi Rasta needs protection from a native nation, along with the influences of other nations seeping into the nation has fueled a rise in nationalism and patriotism, fueling the Clique of Dragons fire from within.

Polarization has become increasingly prominent within the All-Santinese People's Lotus Front along with the population as they split themselves by the people who represent their districts & provinces.

City Riots have become an occurrence within Santi Rasta, advocating for the government to do something or the extreme, the decapitation of the government system. Eitherway this must be resolved.

Antisocial Behavior has become a major problem that has resulted in Vandalism, public nuisances, petty street crime, and other things of the likes.

Alcohol Abuse runs rampant in the nation leading to violent crime, orphans, and homeless minors.

[ Transport ]

There have been strikes against the hard laborious conditions that road workers have to go through along with railroad strikes.

[ Foreign Policy ]

Diplomatic Schism and the reluctance for us to work with the reluctance to cooperate or do diplomatic approach mend with other nations and create new friendships and trade has severely impacted our GDP & access to resources. We will have to resort to diplomatic meetings with nations to further boost our diplomatic relations in Sparkalia and create new friendships or build on existing one’s.
