Xanaaq̇ut: "You keep your red lights alight, your people may see them later" -he would say as they rode forth to meet the host-
By the time they reached, the skimtari could see the mighty of the Dze, an army of well over one hundred thousand stood behind them. Led by mighty chieftains and sustained by their knowledge of the resources available and great food wagons, the army was almost entirely, if not entirely, cavalry or mobile infantry and was so large the end would not be visible to their eyes.
The Dze cavalry wore masked helmets, decorated with plumes and hair, scaled and laminar armour covered their body and their feet were covered by sturdy boots. Round shields protected them, even the archers, with maces, axes, lances and swords of all types being their weapons and bows of rare and unknown woods. Their banners were of strange textiles and their standards were akin horse-hair poles, their horns produced mighty and harmonious sound and their languages were long and unpronounceable to them, with many a complex sound matched together.
Even more surprising, those who looked hard enough could occasionally see...¿human cavalry? Dressed in a manner akin to the Dze, while others dressed in more strange ways, their skin were of various tones, but generally tan, and their eyes were akin to Shinkei Nihonjin. There were at least ten different groups from what they could tell. A mighty and diverse army they had joined indeed, and it marched west.
