The capital of Tepror was situated between two mountains. The new assembly hall contained a large reflective window, behind which could be seen Zacks Pike, one of the mountains.
As the assembly was starting, the light behind the window slowly grew dimmer, making the reflection of the room ever clearer, until resembling a perfect mirror. The room now seemed to be joined to a perfectly mirrored beyond-room by a window frame as doorway. But then the mirror-room slowly started to change. A frosty atmosphere appeared, and a faint shower of snowflakes began to fall. During the span of half a minute, the beyond-room was coated in a layer of ice, coloring it in a turquoise-white.
Some of the snowflakes began to cross the threshold of the window, entering the assembly hall. A faint cheery chatter could be heard, that was slowly getting closer, until finally Primrose Envoy Faziir appeared in the frosty version of the room. He wore clothes still as colorful and extravagant as before, but now more in style of winter attire. Cute little mittens covered his four insectoid hands.
“So nice to see you again. Hope you had a wonderful time.” He hopped through the window, placing a large, fancy cake in the center table of the room, the slices all different color. “Cold weather we’re having, no?” He rubbed his mittened hands demonstratively, throwing a concerned glance at the frosty window. “I hope no-one of you was reflected, or else we might get some very unpleasant guests.” An ominous ambiance came from the mirror-room. Faziir took one of his cloaks and hung it over the window like a curtain. “There. Problem solved.”
He glanced at Ÿrÿn with visible excitement. “Lady Admiral, you look delightfully fancy today. Want a piece of cake?” Faziir noted something in his glittering booklet, where he had paired up all the diplomats in last’s assembly. “You should play into your military aesthetics. I think the Merian President likes that.”
